The starting point
A real business behind a slow, generic template.
HVAC Masters is a family-owned, C-20 licensed heating & air company serving Solano County since 2008 — the kind of local operator that lives on phone calls. But their old Wix site was working against them: bloated, slow, and generic. To paint one plain homepage, it quietly downloaded 110 separate files — React, Lodash, and dozens of Wix scripts and trackers — only about three of which were actual photos.
On mobile, where most local searches happen, that weight showed up as a 68 speed score — squarely in Google's "needs work" range. Every slow second is a visitor who bounces to a competitor before the phone number even loads.
What was built
Hand-coded from the ground up.
We threw out the template and rebuilt the site by hand — a custom Vite build with responsive images, structured data, and only the files it actually needs. Roughly 20 instead of 110. Same job, one-fifth the weight, and every element designed to move a visitor toward a call.
The result
Fast, credible, and built to be found.
On Google's own mobile test, the new site scores 98/100 for speed versus 68 on the old Wix site — and renders in about 2.2 seconds with zero blocking time. It also earns a perfect 100 on Google's SEO, Accessibility, and Best Practices checks.
The payoff isn't a number in a report — it's a site that loads before a visitor gives up, looks like the legitimate 15-year local company it is, and points every path toward the phone. Backed on-site by 19 real customer reviews and a 4.6★ reputation.
